How does Trefimet contribute to this?

Undoubtedly within foundries there are numerous operations that present great risk and considerable physical wear and tear to the operators. From an operation of opening a passage in a generic furnace, to the supervision of a cutting operation, the different places that operators take within the process must have the highest safety standards both in the products they use and in their procedures. Trefimet has a lot to say on these last points.

Trefimet's main focus of development is on thermal lances. The configuration of these tools allows to have multiple internal ducts through which to conduct oxygen and, at the same time, to locate a greater amount of steel in its cross section. The ducts that are formed allow to feed all the steel of the lance with oxygen, keeping it on during the whole operation and improving the iron/oxygen balance in the combustion. These different characteristics generate different benefits associated with the safety of the operation, such as the reduction of the operating time, which reduces the operator's exposure time to thermal stress. By having more steel in its cross section, the Trefimet thermal lance consumes most of the oxygen flowing through it, reducing gas emissions and the sparks that are projected towards the operator, substantially improving the safety of the operation and the operator's comfort. The fact that the lance is kept on at all times allows the operation to be carried out without the need to exert great force on this tool to keep it on, which substantially reduces the physical wear and tear on the operators.

In addition to all the safety benefits associated with the use of Trefimet products, Trefimet has a technical support team (engineering team) and a training system that play a fundamental role in the safety of the operation. These trainings can be done both in person and virtually, and there is always a qualified team available to attend these meetings and implement the best safety standards in operations involving the use of thermal lances.
