Coaching is a professional practice of strong growth as a process of learning and change for individuals, teams and organisations seeking to optimise their effectiveness, grow and address changes and transitions. It is a process of human and organisational development, facilitated by a coach who on this occasion was Sergio Aravena, who, through the appropriate application of coaching strategies, tools and techniques, will hopefully enable Trefimet to achieve the desired change and results in a sustainable manner.
The course, carried out by Sergio Aravena with the collaboration of Organia (Gestión de personas y organizaciones), consisted of 8 sessions of 5 hours each, giving a total of 44 hours of course. These sessions were fully attended by all Trefimet employees, from the General Manager to the kitchen and cleaning manager. All this with the aim that everyone in the company "conspire" towards the same goal, that the synergy of the group allows us to fulfil our dreams.
METHODOLOGY
The seminar is based on the active participation of the participants and uses their own experiences to analyse and discuss the contents of each topic, which are worked on through practical exercises from the reality of organisations. Playful dynamics, videos that exemplify the concepts and tasks to be completed in each session are used. A group case study is developed at the end of each session to apply what has been learnt to a real example.
About the seminar....
In this seminar, different activities and didactic games were carried out with the aim of getting to know companions with whom there had not been much previous contact, generating bonds of trust, giving oneself and placing trust in the other, as can be seen in the attached photographs.
The different areas that make up the company were also made to work transversally, with a scheme called "from the problem to the solution (solutions)", in which these different areas were able to transmit their problems and concerns reciprocally, to find a solution together in order to improve what was raised, fundamentally to promote communication and create an action plan for solutions, creating a working tool under the concept of internal customer and internal supplier, in which basically the different areas that work related in the company, assume their roles as if they were both customer and supplier.
Among other things, the members of each area made a SWOT of their own area, making a general diagnosis of each one, giving very good results, as in this way they could really realise how their strengths and weaknesses interacted with the rest of the areas and how they influenced the relationship between them.
The seminar was generally a success, having the best reception from our collaborators, who unanimously concluded that this type of community and transparent activities mark a before and after in a company.
Let us hope that this is the beginning of a new era and that we can continue with the mission that our company has defined with the goal of achieving the objectives of Trefimet's vision.
